Ingredients for the crust
- Sugar cookie mix or a cup of flour, 1 tsp of baking powder, ½ cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4th cup of cracker crumbs
- ½ cup of melted butter
To create the filling
- 2 packages of cream cheese
- ¼ cup of chocolate fudge sauce
- 1/3rd cup of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp of whipping cream
- 1 bag of marshmallows
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 3 bars of Hershey’s milk chocolate, cut into pieces
For the topping
- 1/4th cup of chocolate fudge sauce
- 6 crackers, broken
How to make?
Start by heating the oven to 325 degree Fahrenheit. Spray cooking spray on the bottom and the sides of the baking pan. Take a small bowl and beat the egg separately. Add in the sugar and butter till a smooth mixture is formed. Add in the cookie cake mix or the flour and baking powder. Once soft dough is formed, press the dough on the pan and bake for a period of 15 minutes. Remove the baked cake from the oven and allow cooling for ten minutes.
Take a medium bowl and add in the brown sugar and cream cheese. Mix at medium speed, after which you can add in the chocolate fudge sauce. Meanwhile, add in the eggs till the mixture is blended. Stir in the vanilla and the cream. Spread on the cooled crust. Place the marshmallows as a single layer. Put in this concoction again in the oven and allow the baking to go on for about 30 minutes or more. After you remove from the oven scatter the chocolate pieces and bake for another 2 minutes. Cool it off on the rack and refrigerate for about two hours.
Before you serve it, microwave the chocolate fudge sauce on high and top with cracker pieces along with drizzled chocolate. Cut into rows and keep ready for serving. Once it is refrigerated the cake bars would be compact forms that would be easy to serve. You can prepare this a day in advance before any special event. It would be great with ice cream as well and turned into a dessert dish for everyone.
