For the glaze

  • 2 cups of confectioner’s sugar
  • 1/4th cup of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon zest

How to make?

When you have the necessary ingredients ready, you can start by preheating the oven. Grease the pan and spray flour on the pan. Take a bowl and beat sugar along with the butter with an electric mixer. The mixture should turn fluffy and light after it is beaten for ten minutes. Add in each egg and beat in each egg in the mixture before you add in more. In a separate place sift flour, baking soda and salt. Take one third of the mixture of flour and add in buttermilk. You need to beat the mixture well, every time you make an addition. Finish adding the flour mixture and then stir in the lemon extract. Once the batter is prepared you can put it in the tube pan you have prepared for baking. Place the cake in the oven for baking. It would probably take about an hour to complete the baking.

To prepare the glaze, you need to create a mixture of sugar, butter, and lemon zest and lemon juice. Once the glaze is prepared by making a smooth mixture you can pour the same onto the top of the cake. Allow the remaining glaze to accumulate on top of the cake.
